I will be honest. I was originally drawn to these hair clips only because of their color, but they actually turned out to be some of the best hair clips ever.
If you’re like me, your wash day includes washing your hair in twists to prevent tangling. However, some sections of my hair would still separate. Thanks to a great tip from our 4C Hair Chick Editor Trudy, I now use these hair clips on the ends of my hair (especially after applying my deep conditioner) to combat the issue of my two strand twists unraveling. The clips work like a charm!
What I love about the “Best Hair Clips Ever“:
1. They are made of sturdy plastic making them perfect for use with heat. I’m sure you remember the scalp burns that resulted from sitting under the hair dryer with metal clips in your hair. With these clips, that’s not an issue. If I chose to sit under the hooded dryer to speed up my drying process, I don’t have to worrying about being singed on my ears or neck because the clips became too hot.
2. Although they hold your hair securely in place, these clips are also super comfortable, so you can sleep with them and not even know they’re there.
How do you use them?
I like to use the clips to stretch my roots when I twist on wet hair. For even more stretch, I apply one clip to the roots and the ends of each twist on my head. The results? Big hair and stretched roots on day one – score! Stretched hair means less tangles and less breakage. That’s what every natural wants, right?

Where are they at?
For some reason, unlike the metal version, these plastic clips aren’t as easy to find. I’ve searched all over and I can only find them in two stores in my area. That’s the only drawback. If you’re interested in trying these out you can purchase some using the link below. Each packets contains 12 plastic clips in three (3) colors.
