Are you a parent or caregiver that is stuck on how to style your little girl’s hair for Easter Sunday? Release your worries because help is here.
For some, Easter holiday activities often include Easter pictures: taken to showcase beautiful dresses and hairstyles. I know that this is one thing that is on my mind.
As I thought about what Easter hairstyles to do for my girls, I knew I wanted something that is durable (will withstand the Easter Egg Hunt after church), and whimsical. With this in mind, I have two types of styles to share.
Durable Easter Hairstyles
Buns are a great option for Easter that children of any age can wear.
Finger Coil Bun: This is an elegant bun with a twist. Literally! It is so easy to recreate. Video below:
Two Tier Bun: This bun gives you the illusion of having two levels of buns on one bun. Add the right accessory to spice up the look. Video below:
Twisted Puff: This style is created with two strand twists. The only tool you will need are bobby pins. Video below:
Whimsical Easter Hairstyles
These hairstyles have a sense of softness and a playful look. With these looks, be sure you allow adequate prep time. Unlike the bun that can be done on the spur of the moment, these styles require a longer amount of time to set.
Perm Rod Sets: I find that when done on wet to damp hair, the style has more shine and luster than when done on dry hair. The main tools you will need to achieve this style are perm rods, moisturizing cream, setting lotion. You can also use a little gel, although I have found that using gels can sometimes cause the hair to get crunchy.
Twistout Styles: With twistouts, you can create different looks. The picture above shows a rope twistout style which gives the best and lasting definition. Click here to learn how to do rope twists.
