I recently got my hair trimmed and had been dying to do a flat twist updo. I love protective styles and updos because they are hassle-free. Once you create your style, you can get up and go during the week. It’s a time saver!
I hadn’t done one in a while; I had stopped doing them because my ends were so uneven that my hair would often get tangled even when doing two strand twists. After surfing pictures on Instagram and seeing a few flat twist updos, I was inspired to try something new. For this style, I didn’t simply flat twist each side to meet in the middle and two strand twist the top. I two strand twisted a large section in the back as well as the front. I wanted a fuller look with more versatility. Since my hair was stretched from flat twists the week before, I created my new updo look using an old twist out.
I hope this look inspires you, too!
